Initial Assessment
Step # 1
An Assessment is the first step to training and can be scheduled over the phone and at that time we will decide your weekly slot that will follow. The Initial Intake Assessment is a time to meet with our Lead Trainer to discuss your goals and concerns; and evaluate your pup to decide the best training approach for their individual needs.
E-Collar Training Program
WE RECOMMEND HAVING THE GUIDANCE OF A TRAINER TO APPROPRIATELY INTRODUCE YOUR DOG TO AN E-COLLAR!!!
This 10-week training program incorporates the elements of the Core Foundations Program and is designed to help you introduce your dog to an e-collar and build your confidence in using it in a variety of situations.

Pack Walk Prep
Successful completion of Pack Walk Prep and approval by Lyndsi is a pre-requisite to participating in our popular Saturday Pack Walk.
This class covers programming your marker, heel, and sit w/duration. These are the most important skills to join the larger pack walk. More info on the Meetup site.

Foundations Plus Training Program
This 10-week program is ideal for dogs with reactivity or behavioral issues. It includes all the core training skills in the Core Foundations Training Program and allows additional time to build confidence and address dogs reactivity at their own speed.
Virtual Training
Program
This is our long distance, COVID friendly training option.
If you are too far away to make it to our Damascus, OR location and/or have issues specific to behaviors triggered in the home, this is a terrific option. We offer 8- and 10-week options, as well as individual sessions.

Hike and Train
This option is for dogs that have some foundation of recall and socialization skills. This service includes pick-up and drop-off at your home or work in
SE Portland and a very tired pup!
This option focuses on recall and proper socialization skills to polish off your amazing pup!
*Please note there is often a small wait to join our hike.
Mocha spent 3 amazing weeks with The Balanced Dog. She is a 2 year old rescued husky who spent time on her own living on the streets. Lyndsi and her team turned our stubborn girl around. She is amazing on leash, biking, running, basic commands and amazing with our kids. We give The Balanced Dog the highest recommendation!!
